I can't decide which I love more- the cat or the food. Both are beautiful! I'm not a huge fan of arugula but I'd be willing to give it another try with that delicious looking squash.

Jes - love your salad, but especially love the photos of Dorian watching the snow. The view from your hike looks amazing. AND what a winter wonderland you must have seen that morning. I miss those types of snow days, but do notmiss driving in it during rush hour withh everyone else

It was 80F+ yesterday here and heading into another day a bit hotter. It's S.TX but this is a bit on the warm side for winter. Your salad inspired me. I am going to walk out to the garden and pick a bunch of kale (and other things) and make some sort of salad. Yours looks so delicious. I swear I get so hungry reading all these food posts and writing about them.

So jealous you got to run in the snow! This weather has been insane. We had a thunderstorm last night and lightening struck in our neighborhood, knocking out our power for a minute and completely blowing one of our breakers.

That salad looks delicious - I love topping a bed of fresh greens (especially rocket) with something warm and savory, even in the middle of the summer. In a few months, I'll be making salads topped with oven-roasted strawberries. But for now, your photo has reminded me that I have a couple of small winter squash still hanging around.

Seriously, this has been the least wintery winter that I can remember! Not that I'm complaining at all... It's just crazy that it already feels so springy. At least you have genuine snow around to remind you that it's mid-February still.

Those squash pieces look so perfectly caramelized around the edges... Gotta try that!

Wow -- I am so terribly jealous of this experience! Fermenting scares me a little, but it's something I so want to learn how to do. What great pics too -- I love shots of people in action making food.
